Harbourneford (U16)

On the way back from  Shipley Bridge to Avon we stopped at Harbourneford.  We parked right opposite the Victorian post box in the wall of Rose Cottage.

We walked down to the river and saw the clapper bridge, but it was no longer well looked after as JH reports.  It was very overgrown and lots of twigs had come downstream and were caught in the bridge.

The road had a lot of surface water on it and a large puddle.  When I walked across the bridge I could see the water rushing under the road.
