Corringdon Ball Gate and Barrow (V13)

We parked at Shipley Bridge and walked on the road towards Didworthy until we came to the bridle path that led up the hill to the moors.  To begin with the path was OK but then it became very stony and at the top a stream was running down in making it precarious.  The path was pretty however with bluebells at the side and there was a field of them at one point.

When the path reached the moors there was still a clear narrow path parallel to the boundary wall which we followed.  When the wall ended we could see the gate in the distance and there was a path to it.

Nearby there was the burial tomb with the collapsed chamber called Long Barrow.
